Hello friends. Today, I am going to make everyone’s favorite vegetable uttapam recipe i. It is healthy as well as tasty, and easy to make. Lets start.
To make rava uttapam, you will need,,
ingridients of vegetable uttapam recipe
- 200 grams semolina, or rawa
- 200 grams yogurt
- 3 medium green bell pepper (finely sliced)
- 3 finely sliced medium sized onions
- 3 finely sliced tomatoes
- Finely sliced green chili (according to taste)
- 1 tablespoon salt
- Refined oil
- Some cody leaves
- Some black mustard seeds

Lets start preparing. Add semolina in a bowl (I have taken fine semolina), and add curd too. MIx.I have used fresh curd. It is not sour. See, how perfectly it has mixed.
Add 1/2 cup water, and mix.Do not add too much water. It should be thick. Leave it for 20 minutes to rise. Subscribe to my channel, and click the bell icon to get instant notifications about the new recipe that I upload every day.
After 20 minutes add a little water, and mix. This much batter will make 5-6 large uttapam. Add salt, and green chili. Add some of onion, green bell pepper, and tomatoes. And mix. I am adding the veggies in the batter. It increases the taste of uttapam.
The batter is still thick. Add some more water, so that it can be easily spread. Do not make it too runny, or it will stick to the pan. The batter is ready. But to make it more tasty, we will roast it.
Heat 2 tablespoon refined oil in a roasting pan, and add black mustard seeds. When it is done, add sliced cody leaves. When the color of the leaves changes, add it in the batter, and mix. And it will increase the taste. Cody leaves are must in the south Indian dishes.
Lets start making uttapam. Turn on the gas. Grease with refined oil. Add batter, and spread. The veggies in batter might distort the shape of the uttapam. Batter should be this thick only.
Add the veggies on top, and press to make them stick to the batter. Add oil on all the sides.When it turns translucent on the edges, it is ready to be turned. Using the spoon, turn it over.You can add your favorite veggies.
Add your kid’s favorite veggies, if you are making hem for kids. It is cooked from one side. Add some oil around the edges,and press with light hands. The veggies added after will be cooked thoroughly this way.
The veggies are cooked, and uttapam is ready.take it out in a plate. You can make small sizes too for kid’s lunch boxes like this.
