To make pav bhaji recipe at home, you will need.. 3 big, or 4 medium sized potatoes, 3 chopped tomatoes, 2 chopped capsicum, Some fras beans, Some peas, 2 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste, 2 onions chopped, Coriander for garnishing, 200 grams butter, 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder, Salt as per taste, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 2 teaspoon pav bhaji masala, 1 teaspoon coriander powder,1 lemon juice.
Add potatoes, capsicum, Fras beans, peas, and 300 ml water in a pan. Do not use too much water. Let it boil for 2 whistles. After 2 whistles, turn off the gas, and let the pressure decrease.
For next step melt 150 gm butter (keep 50 gm for bhaji). Add onions after melting, and stir. Add ginger garlic paste, and stir till golden brown to avoid burning.
Now, add tomatoes and mix. Cover and let it cook for 2-3 minutes. Let the tomatoes soften. Tomatoes are cooked. Cook some more. Add coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, pav bhaji recipe masala, and mix.
And add 1/2 cup water to cook spices. When the spices start leaving oil, they are ready.Open the cooker. Take the vegetables out in a bowl and mash. Turn on the gas, and add vegetables in a pan, and mix.
Mash some more, and add 1 cup water. Add orange food color to give it market look. The color is perfect. Mix well, and add 1 lemon juice and cook for 1 minute. Garnish with coriander.
For pav, add butter, and pav bhaji masala on a pan. Warm up the pav on it. Apply butter, and turn. Pav are easily available in the market. Soon I will share how to make pav at home. Lets serve.
